Client Challenge:
The client wanted to install a large, modern LED mirror in their bathroom. The primary challenge was securing the mirror's mounting brackets to a wall where the underlying ceramic tiles were improperly installed.
The tile adhesive was uneven, creating voids between the tiles and the wall—a common hidden issue many homeowners are unaware of. Drilling into such a surface carries a high risk of cracking or shattering the tiles due to uneven pressure and lack of support.
Our Solution & Process:
Our two-person team executed a precise, careful installation.
To mitigate the risk of tile damage, we used a specialized multi-step drilling technique with multiple drill bits (starting with a glass/tile bit and finishing with a masonry bit) to gradually create clean, stable holes for the wall plugs without causing stress fractures.
We carefully selected and installed anchors robust enough to secure the heavy mirror despite the compromised substrate. The electrical connection for the integrated LED lights was seamlessly integrated into the existing bathroom circuit, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
The Result & Benefit:
The client received a perfectly level, securely mounted LED mirror with zero damage to the existing bathroom tiles.
The mirror is firmly attached and operates flawlessly, providing both excellent functionality and a modern aesthetic.
More importantly, we identified and expertly navigated a hidden structural flaw, preventing potential future damage and costly repairs for the homeowner.
