Client Challenge:
A common issue in Bucharest is that after buildings undergo external insulation work, the interior spaces of balconies—walls and the areas around new thermal windows—are left unfinished, with exposed gaps and raw materials.
The client in Pantelimon was left with an unsightly, unlivable balcony space featuring gaps around the window frame, an unfinished drywall surface, and adhesive labels on the new glass.
Our Solution & Process:
We transformed the raw space into a clean, finished interior extension of the home. Our work involved a complete multi-step finishing process: we first sealed and covered all gaps around the new thermal window frame to ensure insulation and a draft-free seal.
We then professionally finished the drywall (gipscarton) by applying multiple layers of joint compound (glet), sanding it to a perfectly smooth surface, applying primer, and finishing with a high-quality paint.
The project concluded with a thorough final cleanup, including the careful removal of all manufacturer adhesive labels from the windows.
The Result & Benefit:
The client gained a fully finished, polished, and usable balcony that seamlessly integrates with the rest of the apartment.
The space is now clean, bright, and free from drafts or unsightly construction remnants.
What was once a typical post-renovation eyesore is now a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing part of the home.
